I love when couples bring their all to a shoot! Libby and Jeremy were looking soooo elegant in this Newport Beach engagement session at a gorgeous Crystal Cove restaurant. We wanted classic arched architecture with an stylish flare. After some brainstorming, we decided to contact local restaurants. Finding new and different locations is one of my favorite ways to make a session unique! We went for a moody and dramatic tone for this portion of the session, which translated into movie poster quality images!
Next, we hiked down to the beach for a more casual airy look. Heisler Park in Laguna beach not only has a beautiful rocky coastline, but also offers a gorgeous lush park for a different look. Libby and Jeremy were a bit nervous at first about being in front of the camera, but as you can see, came to have a blast during their Laguna Beach Engagement Session and looked flawless!
I CAN NOT wait to be with them in Cabo for their wedding in a few short months!
I met Matt and Nisha on a short vacation after a little work trip down to Cancun, Mexico. My hubby and I decided to take some time and explore Tulum, Mexico. It was everything we had hoped for. A relaxed beach town with eco friendly establishments, gorgeous beaches and a town with tons of fun and nightlife. We met Nisha and Matt while bonding over our music taste at a local happy hour. After we talked for a bit we found out that they were looking to shoot there Engagement session in Tulum, since it is somewhere they have been together a few times. It was kismet! We set the session for the next day and it could not have been more fun! They didn’t want the typical beach scene, which is what most people would opt for in Mexico. Instead, they were drawn to the town, with its Mexican architecture and vibrant colors. We spent the afternoon wandering around the town, getting chased by local street dogs and finished it all with a cold margarita. Such a fun way to spend an afternoon exploring a new and different culture. Congrats guys!Read More
When I met Declan and Meghan I could tell instantly the love and respect they have for each other. This Aussie couple has traveled the globe together doing everything from kite surfing to free diving. I could listen to them tell stories for hours! It was no surprise they had traveled all of Mexico for their honeymoon. We photographed there honeymoon couples session at the iconic and breathtaking Tulum Ruins, although they had already seen the Great Wall of China and the Pyramids of Giza! phsh! We arrived when they first opened. The crowds were already swarming in masses. Combating the crowds and the wind was quite the challenge but we prevailed and created some beautiful images of these love birds! Wishing you many happy years!
When Leslie called me to talk about her idea for an Engagement Session in the beautiful Olympic National Park at Quinault Rainforest I was beyond excited. We started by planning hikes and ideas were flying! We decided on a hike and hoped for an unusual rain-free day. Well, that did not happen but the rain made for an experience we will never forget! These two love the outdoors, and living in Seattle, they are no stranger to getting a little wet. Wrapping my gear in trash bags and going all in, we went for it and created some amazing photographs! Everywhere I looked I felt like I was in Fern Gully. The lush foliage and beautiful natural light was a photographers playground. Please enjoy this captivating Washington Destination Olympic National Forest Engagement Session.Read More
When one of my best childhood friends told me she was engaged I could not wait to celebrate with her! When I booked my trip to my home town of Ocean City Maryland I was gitty with excitement to spend three hours with Sarah and Wes in one of my favorite places on earth. We spent our time in the woods off of Sinapuxent road then headed to the inlet for a breathtaking sunset. After the session we made time for a stroll down memory lane, my vacation would not be complete without a ride on The Zipper for old times sake! Please enjoy this Ocean City Maryland Engagement Session.Read More
